Get ready to ride and have a good time for a great cause! The Catfish 50 Bike Ride is rolling into its 30th year of exploring the scenic backroads of Southern Trempealeau County. Choose from a family-friendly 8-mile loop or the more challenging 20-mile, or 50-mile loops. All rides start and end at Second and Main Streets in downtown Trempealeau right next to all the fun and festivities of Catfish Days.

New to the Catfish 50? The 8-mile loop is designed to be family friendly. The 20-mile loop will provide a nice climb up Whistle Pass and beautiful views. The 50-mile loop will treat riders to Catfish Hill an almost one-mile climb with a 6.5% grade.

Proceeds benefit Friends of Trempealeau Lakes and programs of the Trempealeau Lions Club.

First, Second & Third Lakes are a unique independent spring fed water system that comes from the groundwater NE of the Lakes and eventually flows into the Mississippi River. Mud, Round and Long lake are backwaters of the Mississippi River. All of these make up the Trempealeau Lakes region and provide a special habitat for aquatic life, as well as add to our outdoor recreational enjoyment. The Friends of Trempealeau Lakes (FOTL) was formed to help restore, preserve, and improve this unique Trempealeau lake system on the upper Mississippi River.

The Trempealeau Lions Club is a community service organization chartered in 1972. We currently have more than 90 members. Money earned from our fundraisers, especially Catfish Days, is funneled back into the community for projects, scholarships, sponsorships, and help for those with special needs.
